If you took a holiday in santiago you should definitely go to El Palacio de Bellas Artes. It shelters in his interior the national museum of Bellas Artes. Bellas Artes is really worth seeing!!!
Personally i'd recommend going to "Como agua para chocolate" Restaurant. It is an amazing place and its specialty is the seafood. It is really worth visiting.
In Santiago the winter beginning on June until september or at last until October.And the mountains start having snow. If you're in Santiago in that period you Must go to Colorado. It is a montain that has a maximum height of 3.333 meters on the level of the sea and a difference of 903 vertical meters. So if you love snowboarding or doing ski you should definitely go to Colorado.
I wouldn't visit governmental places like "La Moneda". I'd prefer visit Escuela Militar. It's a very interesting place that contains military relics and modern technologies. Is really worth seeing.
